Abstract of Research and Education

My research centers on the consumer behavior and especially the product users’ contribution to product development. I am interested in understanding what kind of users can invent as well as what factors can affect their performance in invention and its diffusion. I published academic papers in journals such as Research Policy, European Journal of Innovation Management, Journal of Business Venturing Insights. My work has been supported by funds from Japan and China, and I have worked as visiting scholar at Toulouse 1 Capitole University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Message for students
In my classes, I hope every student can actively participate in the discussion and consider each topic with the logics that they learnt from the literature. Combining the theory with the real-world evidence is an important ability that I hope my students can get from my class.
