Professor of Applied Econometrics

Abstract of Research and Education

My research examines household energy consumption behavior using econometric and statistical methods. I am particularly interested in the rebound effect, where gains in energy efficiency do not always result in lower energy use because products may be used more frequently or for longer periods. I also study the effectiveness of measures that encourage energy-saving behavior. More recently, my work has focused on demand flexibility, especially how consumers adjust electricity use in response to fluctuations in supply associated with renewable energy.

I teach quantitative analysis at the undergraduate level, with a focus on regression analysis and the use of data to test theories and hypotheses in business administration. At the graduate level, I teach Statistical Methodology and Advanced Statistical Methodology (Causal Inference), covering regression analysis, multivariate analysis, and methods for identifying causal relationships using experimental and observation data.
