Abstract of Research and Education
I am researching reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodation refers to adjusting job assignments, work processes, and the work environment in response to the difficulties that employees with disabilities face in the workplace. However, such accommodations may sometimes be perceived as preferential treatment, leading the individuals concerned to feel a sense of burden or guilt, and potentially placing strain on their coworkers. Therefore, my research focuses not only on employees with disabilities but also on identifying management approaches that enable reasonable accommodation to be realized in ways that are appropriate for coworkers, the workplace, and the organization as a whole.
