Kobe University’s Graduate School of Business Administration has walked a proud path for over 120 years as a pioneer of management education and research in Japan. Our campus is alive with a profound ” Intellectual Heritage,” built upon the wisdom of our predecessors who constantly deciphered the cutting edge of their eras to move society forward.
However, I want to emphasize to you all that this history is not merely a “legacy of the past” to be protected. Tradition is something that increases in value only when it is constantly updated to meet the needs of the times through our own continuous challenges.
Countless opportunities lie within the historic Rokko-dai campus. Yet, these opportunities are not something you can obtain simply by waiting. The university is not a place where someone will hand you the “right answer.” It is a place where you must pose your own questions, navigate the campus with purpose, and seize opportunities with your own hands to achieve growth.
I encourage you to use this historic house of learning, without hesitation, as a stage for your new challenges and personal evolution. By carving a new page in our history and growing through your endeavors, you will, in turn, contribute to the further accumulation of knowledge and tradition at Kobe University. We are fully committed to supporting every challenge you take on here on campus.
