Title
Associate Professor of Psychometrics
Abstract of Research and Education
Research:
I specialize mainly in psychometrics. In particular, I am interested in methodological aspects, such as survey methods for better measurement of individual abilities and characteristics by removing biases in measurement, and analytical models for auxiliary data such as response times.
Education:
As an undergraduate instructor, I teach ‘Business Statistics,’ and in the MBA program, I teach courses such as ‘Introductory Statistics.’ These courses aim to equip students with the mindset and fundamental etiquette of inferential statistics, a versatile skill applicable across a wide range of fields.
In the graduate program, I teach “Special Research on Statistical Methodology”. I aim to support students in acquiring the knowledge necessary for writing academic papers and other publications, going beyond a superficial understanding of data analysis for psychometrics (such as questionnaires), which is often used in various fields not limited to business administration, and Bayesian statistics, which is becoming a global standard in the social sciences.
