Title
Associate Professor of Finance
Abstract of Research and Education
Research:
My field of expertise is finance, with a focus on the mechanisms of financial markets, particularly the stock market, and the factors that influence stock prices. Stock markets are shaped by the collective decisions of countless individuals. Various aspects of human preferences—such as risk attitudes (risk aversion), the trade-off between present and future consumption (intertemporal elasticity of substitution), sensitivity to changes in living standards (habit formation), and the asymmetric perception of gains and losses (loss aversion)—play a crucial role in stock market dynamics. My research seeks to uncover the underlying mechanisms behind these influences. Additionally, I have a strong interest in related fields, including behavioral economics, banking, corporate finance, and machine learning.
Education:
At the undergraduate level, I will be teaching a course where we read the behavioral economics classic “Thinking, Fast and Slow.” This book is highly relevant to decision-making in the stock market and has broad applications across various fields of business administration.
At the graduate level, I will be leading a course on empirical analysis methods used in finance, incorporating concrete examples to illustrate their practical applications.
