Title

Professor of Banking and Financial Institutions

Abstract of Research and Education

In the field of banking and finance, I conduct theoretical and empirical analysis based on an economics approach, especially focusing on banks. In particular, I specialize in the economic functions (the roles) of banks and other financial institutions, the design of financial system (financial architecture), corporate finance, and social finance.

As for education, at the undergraduate level, I offer a lecture on financial institutions, as well as project-based learning classes using design thinking in cooperation with public agencies and social businesses. At the graduate level, I provide research guidance to students who want to pursue research in the fields of banking and corporate finance, so that they can conduct theoretical research using mathematical models or empirical research using econometric methods.
