Dr Henry Shi (Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics, Adelaide Business School)
Research Focus
Dr. Shi’s research focuses on strategy and entrepreneurship in SMEs, particularly in family businesses. He investigates how private entrepreneurship is sustained across generations and how socio-economic contexts influence SME innovation, internationalization, and entrepreneurship. More recently, he has also explored the intersection between family business strategies and social entrepreneurship.

Abstract
In this lecture, Dr Shi will introduce the latest trends in family business research and share insights from his ongoing projects. He will also discuss the current state of family businesses in Australia.
