| 要旨 | An M&A prediction model aims to predict which company can be target companies in M&As by using publicly available information. We propose a study in which machine learning techniques are employed to predict the target company in a takeover. In particular, motivated by recent advances in machine learning, we will predict takeover targets using algorithms such as artificial neural networks (ANN), support vector machine (SVM), as well as Adaboost. In this experiment, we compare the prediction accuracy of these algorithms in order to validate the effectiveness of machine learning in takeover target prediction. |
